31:3あなたの神、主はみずからあなたに先立って渡り、あなたの前から、これらの国々の民を滅ぼし去って、あなたにこれを獲させられるであろう。また主がかつて言われたように、ヨシュアはあなたを率いて渡るであろう。31:3 Yahweh your God, he will go over before you; he will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua shall go over before you, as Yahweh has spoken.
31:4主がさきにアモリびとの王シホンとオグおよびその地にされたように、彼らにもおこなって彼らを滅ぼされるであろう。31:4 Yahweh will do to them as he did to Sihon and to Og, the kings of the Amorites, and to their land; whom he destroyed.
31:5主は彼らをあなたがたに渡されるから、あなたがたはわたしが命じたすべての命令のとおりに彼らに行わなければならない。31:5 Yahweh will deliver them up before you, and you shall do to them according to all the commandment which I have commanded you.

31:9モーセはこの律法を書いて、主の契約の箱をかつぐレビの子孫である祭司およびイスラエルのすべての長老たちに授けた。31:9 Moses wrote this law, and delivered it to the priests the sons of Levi, who bore the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and to all the elders of Israel.
31:10そしてモーセは彼らに命じて言った、「七年の終りごとに、すなわち、ゆるしの年の定めの時になり、かりいおの祭に、31:10 Moses commanded them, saying, “At the end of every seven years, in the set time of the year of release, in the feast of tents,

31:12すなわち男、女、子供およびあなたの町のうちに寄留している他国人など民を集め、彼らにこれを聞かせ、かつ学ばせなければならない。そうすれば彼らはあなたがたの神、主を恐れてこの律法の言葉を、ことごとく守り行うであろう。31:12 Assemble the people, the men and the women and the little ones, and your foreigner who is within your gates, that they may hear, and that they may learn, and fear Yahweh your God, and observe to do all the words of this law;

31:18しかも彼らがほかの神々に帰して、もろもろの悪を行うゆえに、わたしはその日には必ずわたしの顔を隠すであろう。31:18 I will surely hide my face in that day for all the evil which they shall have worked, in that they are turned to other gods.
31:19それであなたがたは今、この歌を書きしるし、イスラエルの人々に教えてその口に唱えさせ、この歌をイスラエルの人々に対するわたしのあかしとならせなさい。31:19 “Now therefore write this song for yourselves, and teach it to the children of Israel: put it in their mouths, that this song may be a witness for me against the children of Israel.
31:20わたしが彼らの先祖たちに誓った、乳と蜜の流れる地に彼らを導き入れる時、彼らは食べて飽き、肥え太るに及んで、ほかの神々に帰し、それに仕えて、わたしを軽んじ、わたしの契約を破るであろう。31:20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I swore to their fathers, flowing with milk and honey, and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and grown fat; then will they turn to other gods, and serve them, and despise me, and break my covenant.

31:22モーセはその日、この歌を書いてイスラエルの人々に教えた。31:22 So Moses wrote this song the same day, and taught it the children of Israel.

31:26「この律法の書をとって、あなたがたの神、主の契約の箱のかたわらに置き、その所であなたにむかってあかしをするものとしなさい。31:26 “Take this book of the law, and put it by the side of the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there for a witness against you.
31:27わたしはあなたのそむくことと、かたくななこととを知っている。きょう、わたしが生きながらえて、あなたがたと一緒にいる間ですら、あなたがたは主にそむいた。ましてわたしが死んだあとはどんなであろう。31:27 For I know your rebellion, and your stiff neck: behold, while I am yet alive with you this day, you have been rebellious against Yahweh; and how much more after my death?
31:28あなたがたの部族のすべての長老たちと、つかさたちをわたしのもとに集めなさい。わたしはこれらの言葉を彼らに語り聞かせ、天と地とを呼んで彼らにむかってあかしさせよう。31:28 Assemble to me all the elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speak these words in their ears, and call heaven and earth to witness against them.
31:29わたしは知っている。わたしが死んだのち、あなたがたは必ず悪い事をして、わたしが命じた道を離れる。そして後の日に災があなたがたに臨むであろう。これは主の悪と見られることを行い、あなたがたのすることをもって主を怒らせるからである」。31:29 For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves, and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will happen to you in the latter days; because you will do that which is evil in the sight of Yahweh, to provoke him to anger through the work of your hands.”
31:30そしてモーセはイスラエルの全会衆に次の歌の言葉を、ことごとく語り聞かせた。31:30 Moses spoke in the ears of all the assembly of Israel the words of this song, until they were finished.
32:1「天よ、耳を傾けよ、わたしは語る、地よ、わたしの口の言葉を聞け。32:1 Give ear, you heavens, and I will speak. Let the earth hear the words of my mouth.
32:2わたしの教は雨のように降りそそぎ、わたしの言葉は露のようにしたたるであろう。若草の上に降る小雨のように、青草の上にくだる夕立のように。32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain. My speech shall condense as the dew, as the small rain on the tender grass, as the showers on the herb.
32:3わたしは主の名をのべよう、われわれの神に栄光を帰せよ。32:3 For I will proclaim the name of Yahweh. Ascribe greatness to our God!
32:4主は岩であって、そのみわざは全く、その道はみな正しい。主は真実なる神であって、偽りなく、義であって、正である。32:4 The Rock, his work is perfect, for all his ways are justice: a God of faithfulness and without iniquity, just and right is he.
32:5彼らは主にむかって悪を行い、そのきずのゆえに、もはや主の子らではなく、よこしまで、曲ったやからである。32:5 They have dealt corruptly with him. They are not his children, because of their defect. They are a perverse and crooked generation.
32:6愚かな知恵のない民よ、あなたがたはこのようにして主に報いるのか。主はあなたを生み、あなたを造り、あなたを堅く立てられたあなたの父ではないか。32:6 Do you thus requite Yahweh, foolish people and unwise? Isn’t he your father who has bought you? He has made you, and established you.
32:7いにしえの日を覚え、代々の年を思え。あなたの父に問え、彼はあなたに告げるであろう。長老たちに問え、彼らはあなたに語るであろう。32:7 Remember the days of old. Consider the years of many generations. Ask your father, and he will show you; your elders, and they will tell you.

32:10主はこれを荒野の地で見いだし、獣のほえる荒れ地で会い、これを巡り囲んでいたわり、目のひとみのように守られた。32:10 He found him in a desert land, in the waste howling wilderness. He surrounded him. He cared for him. He kept him as the apple of his eye.

32:15しかるにエシュルンは肥え太って、足でけった。あなたは肥え太って、つややかになり、自分を造った神を捨て、救の岩を侮った。32:15 But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked. You have grown fat. You have grown thick. You have become sleek. Then he forsook God who made him, and lightly esteemed the Rock of his salvation.

They have provoked me to anger with their vanities. I will move them to jealousy with those who are not a people. I will provoke them to anger with a foolish nation.
32:22わたしの怒りによって、火は燃えいで、陰府の深みにまで燃え行き、地とその産物とを焼きつくし、山々の基を燃やすであろう。32:22 For a fire is kindled in my anger, Burns to the lowest Sheol {Sheol is the place of the dead.}, Devours the earth with its increase, and sets the foundations of the mountains on fire.
32:23わたしは彼らの上に災を積みかさね、わたしの矢を彼らにむかって射つくすであろう。32:23 “I will heap evils on them. I will spend my arrows on them.

32:26わたしはまさに言おうとした、「彼らを遠く散らし、彼らの事を人々が記憶しないようにしよう」。32:26 I said, I would scatter them afar. I would make their memory to cease from among men;

32:33そのぶどう酒はへびの毒のよう、まむしの恐ろしい毒のようである。32:33 Their wine is the poison of serpents, The cruel venom of asps.
32:34これはわたしのもとにたくわえられ、わたしの倉に封じ込められているではないか。32:34 “Isn’t this laid up in store with me, sealed up among my treasures?
32:35彼らの足がすべるとき、わたしはあだを返し、報いをするであろう。彼らの災の日は近く、彼らの破滅は、すみやかに来るであろう。32:35 Vengeance is mine, and recompense, at the time when their foot slides; for the day of their calamity is at hand. The things that are to come on them shall make haste.”

32:39今見よ、わたしこそは彼である。わたしのほかに神はない。わたしは殺し、また生かし、傷つけ、またいやす。わたしの手から救い出しうるものはない。32:39 “See now that I, even I, am he, There is no god with me. I kill, and I make alive. I wound, and I heal. There is no one who can deliver out of my hand.
32:40わたしは天にむかい手をあげて誓う、「わたしは永遠に生きる。32:40 For I lift up my hand to heaven, And say, As I live forever,
32:41わたしがきらめくつるぎをとぎ、手にさばきを握るとき、わたしは敵にあだを返し、わたしを憎む者に報復するであろう。32:41 if I whet my glittering sword, My hand take hold on judgment; I will render vengeance to my adversaries, and will recompense those who hate me.
32:42わたしの矢を血に酔わせ、わたしのつるぎに肉を食わせるであろう。殺された者と捕えられた者の血を飲ませ、敵の長髪の頭の肉を食わせるであろう」』。32:42 I will make my arrows drunk with blood. My sword shall devour flesh with the blood of the slain and the captives, from the head of the leaders of the enemy.”

32:50あなたは登って行くその山で死に、あなたの民に連なるであろう。あなたの兄弟アロンがホル山で死んでその民に連なったようになるであろう。32:50 and die on the mountain where you go up, and be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother died on Mount Hor, and was gathered to his people:

33:5民のかしらたちが集まり、イスラエルの部族がみな集まった時、主はエシュルンのうちに王となられた」。33:5 He was king in Jeshurun, When the heads of the people were gathered, All the tribes of Israel together.
33:6「ルベンは生きる、死にはしない。しかし、その人数は少なくなるであろう」。33:6 “Let Reuben live, and not die; Nor let his men be few.”
